Pahar Ganj
Shri Chaitanya Gaudiya Math was founded in 1953, with its headquarters in Kolkata and, historically, twenty-four branches across India. Its central purpose is to establish divine love among people through Shri Harinam Sankirtan — regarded as the strongest spiritual force on earth for bringing eternal peace to the world, irrespective of caste, creed or religion. The Math follows the ideals set forth by the Supreme Lord Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. The organisation's founder, Shrila Bhakti Dayita Madhava Goswami Maharaj, and his successor, the most revered Acharya Shrila Bhakti Ballabh Tirtha Goswami Maharaj, dedicated their entire lives to the propagation of Sanatan Dharma across the world. They wrote numerous books and periodicals in various languages for the eternal benefit of the public, practised single-minded devotion to the Supreme Lord Shri Krishna, and propagated it through large gatherings and town kirtans (Nagar Sankirtan) around the world. Their manner of teaching by example was a greater sermon than words themselves.
