Damaged Idols — Proper Disposal
Damaged idols (khandit murtis) are often left at temple corners, under trees, on roadsides, in parks, or discarded with household waste. This disrespects our deities and deeply hurts religious sentiment.
What the Sabha Does
Shri Sanatan Dharm Pratinidhi Sabha has set up a dedicated system in Delhi for the proper, respectful immersion (visarjan) of damaged idols, in partnership with various organizations that collect and immerse them with dignity.
